My goal is to make every dental visit a positive, encouraging experience where children feel cared for, confident, and excited about their smiles. I believe these early experiences help build trust and healthy habits that last a lifetime. It’s an honor to work alongside families to support their children’s lifelong oral health.
Bio
Dr. Tomomi Ida was born and raised at Yokota Air Force Base in Tokyo, Japan. Throughout her school years, she enjoyed playing tennis and performing as a pianist in her school’s jazz band. Her path toward dentistry began in Honolulu, where she worked as a medical receptionist and discovered her passion for caring for others through healthcare.
Dr. Ida earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry, followed by an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at NYU Langone Health in Seattle. After several years practicing general dentistry in Snohomish County, Washington, she found herself especially drawn to working with children and their families. This connection inspired her to pursue specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at NYU Langone Health – Hawaiʻi.
Outside the office, Dr. Ida enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time at the beach. She is also looking forward to welcoming a small dog into her family soon.
